How does God being in control of leaders and kings, even if the person in authority is evil, give you peace? Are you growing and changing and leaving our old habits behind? Where has God made something out of ashes in your life? Come along with us as Amy teaches us the important lessons in Chapters 12 & 13 of the Book of Acts. The first apostle is killed, this is the only biblical record of the death of an apostle. We learn of yet another example of the power of prayer from others, as Peter is rescued from imprisonment in the most supernatural way. Then a territorial king receives Godly judgement. Herod Agrippa I, a man who allowed himself to be worshiped as a god, is struck down by a painful 5-day course of worms leading up to his death. Saul and Barnabas reappear again, still meeting resistance and opposition, yet throughout the retelling of their journey, the Holy Spirit is confirming their assignment to spread the Word to the Gentiles.

This is a verse-by-verse study Bible study, allowing deep understanding and context of God's Word. This audio-only recording was adapted from a live Zoom meeting that originally took place on 11/17/24.
