Marines gain control of the MV Magellan Star from suspected pirates

This raw footage, taken from a helicopter and provided by the U.S. Navy, shows elements of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group working to seize control of the German-owned Motor Vessel Magellan Star from pirates in the Gulf of Aden. Force Recon Marines carried out this "visit, board, search, and seizure" mission which resulted in the successful rescue of the vessel's 11 crew members, and the capture of nine suspected pirates.
