NCAST Presents Supercomputing Center Potential and Challenges
Tuesday, October 19, The National Archives at College Park, MD -- This presentation features NCAST research partner, Dr. Maria Esteva, Research Associate and Data Archivist at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) who leads alongside engineers and other IT experts to explain how archivists think and do their work. Here, she shares critical skill sets and knowledge that archivists and records management professionals need to actively and successfully collaborate in this setting. The National Archives Applied Research Division (formerly known as NCAST: NARA's Center for Advanced Systems and Technologies) serves as a resource for improving NARA customer services and business processes; and evaluates tools to improve NARA's electronic records and network operations. These presentations are sessions with our research partners where they talk about their research and findings and how these are helping NARA identify new theories knowledge, methods, and techniques to advance the lifecycle of electronic records.
