The lesson on November 17, 2024 was part 16 of “The Book of Matthew” study. A review of what the previous lesson taught us was given and Wayne brought up the number five (5). Five is associated with two things – Death and Grace. Death and Grace is connected by Jesus death, that is how grace came. When we looked at Ps. 51:6-7 where it describes us being whiter than snow, we also see white being associated with leprosy. We saw in Mark 9:22, 23 where faith, or your belief made all things possible. This was exemplified in a Roman Centurion’s example where his servant was at home sick and he asked Jesus to heal him by just saying the word. The Lord marveled saying there was no faith like this found in Israel and his servant was healed that hour. Rome was keen on keeping their law in as much it was a privilege to become a Roman citizen. Just like it is today with America. In Hebrews 11 it shows a list of hero’s of faith, and all of those listed are sinners. Just like with our Founding Father’s in America, they are all sinners but they left us the Constitution and the founding documents. Wayne then went on to today’s lesson which looked at the structure of Matthew and he referenced “callings”. We need to be sensitive to the calling we have today through right division. We looked at Matthew 8: 14 where Peter’s mother-in-law was sick until Jesus had touched her hand. Further, in Matthew 8:16 “… they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:”. The Lord cast out spirits with his word. We don’t have Jesus with us today, but we do have his word! Jesus is the Son of Man which means he is human and gets tired. In verse 24 we learn that Jesus was sleeping through a sea storm. When his disciples woke him in fear, he rebuked the winds and the sea and there was a great calm. Jesus is also the Son of God! We learn of the casting out of the devils into a herd of swine who then ran into the sea and perished. The Greek word for deep is “ἄβυσσος” and the first place this word occurs is in Lk. 8:31. The definition describes it as a transcendent region deep below the earth’s surface’, abyss, underworld, of the deep abode of the dead Rom. 10:7; of demons Lk. 8:31; of an apocalyptic beast Rev. 11:7. US Congress Woman Nancy Mace just released a report “Immaculate Constellation Document” describing UFO’s or UAP’s as actual things that exist with inhabitants! In Revelation 9, we learn of inhabitants that are in a realm and are released to torment those who don’t have the seal of God in their foreheads. How come those devils are present when Jesus was on the earth? That means there is some kind of movement, back and forth to this realm. This is what will happen in the future! There is a lot more to these scriptures. The next lesson will cover more.

Scripture reading was from Revelation 9:1-6 KJV “1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. 5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. 6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.”
