CROW NATION- Excerpt from Plenty-Coups: Chief of the Crows -by Frank B. Linderman
In Honor of the Thanksgiving to Native Americans. The Crow Nation has a very interesting back story. They for Centuries have inhabited the Land of America. As the story of the Pilgrims is honored each year and the Native Americans now have November 29 carved out as Native American Heritage Day.
This should create awareness of the Tribal Theology and the regard that Native Americans do hold in tradition for their Tribal Homes. I live on Tribal Land and have for a very long time been a part of many traditional events and I am part Choctaw the first Tribe on the Trail of Tears.
But the anger and anguish at this time could be handled much better in my opinion. No need for separation more of a need for coming together. To understand all men and womans Humanity and to know we all have dream time and should take the advice of the Chickadee. This story sounds akin to what is happening with men that are not thoughtful.
Most of the Tribal Member I have known are now Christians. They believe in GOD Creator and many first learned the English Language by reading the Bible. This is the CENTER PIECE of this great Nation. Give Thanks to GOD this holiday and enjoy our likenesses in Jesus Christ.
