Les jardins du Domaine

The Winter Gardens in the Auckland Domain is a lovely spot, very Victorian in architecture. On Saturday the Freedom and Rights Coalition held an event in the Domain which was intrinsically political.

But the wonderful thing about it was it was a family event. Children running around, adults preparing food, live music. It was a fun day out for people which is quite a contrast to the angry demonstrations we’ve seen this week from their political opponents.

And it was lovely to see many of the attendees exploring the park, including taking their kids for a look at the Winter Gardens.
