Family and friends will say final goodbye to Kate Spade at funeral today in Kansas City

Friends and family of fashion designer Kate Spade will host a funeral Thursday afternoon in Spade’s hometown. The private ceremony is scheduled to take place at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Redemptorist Church, located at 3333 Broadway Boulevard. Police said the 55-year-old died by suicide earlier this month at her New York City home. Spade’s husband said his wife had battled depression.
