FOOD & RESTAURANTS IN RIO DE JANEIRO!

In this video, we share with you some of our experiences when it comes to food and restaurants in Rio de Janeiro. We begin with the famous restaurant/pastry shop called Confeitaria Colombo. This place is very stylish and has a gorgeous decor as well as good food and pastry. The next place we visited was another very famous restaurant called Garota de Ipanema (Girl from Ipanema). This is a very famous restaurant and the one that we visited located in Ipanema neighbourhood is the main branch opened in 1949! They now have many other branches in other neighbourhoods. The main reason the restaurant is famous is because the famous song called Garota de Ipanema was written at this restaurant since the poet (Vinicius de Moraes) and the signer (Tom Jobim) used to hang out at this restaurant. They wrote the song on a pack of cigarettes and then it became even more famous when Frank Sinatra also sang the same song in English. Besides the history, the food is also very good at this restaurant. Next we visited another very famous and traditional restaurant called Cervantes which is famous for its sandwiches and also the main dishes that they serve! Lastly, we visited Plage café which is located inside a park called Parque Lage and has become an obsession for Instagramers to go there and take a picture there in front of the fountain that is located in the courtyard since you will have a very nice shot with the statue of the christ been seen in the background on top pf the Corcovado mountain! The famous rap singer Snoop Dogg also used this location for one of his music videos for the song "Beautiful" which adds to the demand for lots of people to go and visit the park and the café. We had a Brunch at this restaurant and the whole experience was absolutely wonderful. We hope you enjoy the video :)
