Rob Zombie's "Halloween" reimagines the origin of Michael Myers, exploring his troubled childhood and descent into madness. The film delves deeper into Michael's backstory, portraying him as a disturbed young boy raised in a dysfunctional household, whose violent tendencies escalate until he unalives his older sister. Institutionalized under the care of Dr. Samuel Loomis, Michael grows increasingly detached and silent. Fifteen years later, he escapes and returns to his hometown of Haddonfield, where he targets teenager Laurie Strode and her friends. This remake adds a psychological layer to Michael's character while retaining the intense slasher elements of the original.

In "Halloween II", the story picks up immediately after the events of the first film, as Laurie Strode, traumatized and wounded, is taken to the hospital. Michael, believed to be dead, rises once more, continuing his relentless pursuit of Laurie. The sequel focuses on Laurie's psychological unraveling as she struggles with the trauma of her encounter with Michael and uncovers dark truths about her connection to him. Meanwhile, Dr. Loomis faces his own moral battles as he profits from the tragedy. This installment is darker and more brutal, with a surreal, nightmarish atmosphere that emphasizes the psychological toll of violence.
