VITÓRIA LOOKS LIKE A MINI RIO DE JANEIRO!

In this video we visit the beautiful city of Vitória the capital of the state of Espírito Santo. We begin the video in a monastery called Convento da Penha which is actually located on a city called Vila Velha that is connected to Vitória with a long, beautiful bridge called Terceira Ponte. This monastery is located on top of a hill and you will have a wonderful view of both Vitória and Vila Velha from the top of that hill. After our visit of the Convento da Penha, we stopped at Bistrô Saldanha for lunch which is a very cute restaurant inside an old forte. The location is very interesting and it is also located across from the port of Vila Velha. After lunch, we visited the historic centre of Vitória starting with Palácio Anchieta which is the headquarter of the government of the state of Espírito Santo. Then we visited Catedral Metropolitana de Nossa Senhora da Vitória, passed by Praça Costa Pereira where Teatro Carlos Gomes is located, but unfortunately the Theater was closed for renovations. From Praça Costa Pereira we could also see the Sesc Glória building and after that we headed back to go and see the famous Escadaria Maria Ortiz. Escadaria Maria Ortiz has a lot of history and Mariana explains in the video all the interesting facts about this set of stairs. In the last section of the video we visited a park called Parque Moscoso and while showing you the park, we also talk about the history of the city and where the name comes from and some other historic facts.
