First of all: You need a fig!
Note for my vegan friends: Wild figs, in particular, are often not vegan. Guess why!

This cocktail is a floral and fruity twist on a whiskey sour. Scotch for added depth, hibiscus syrup for floral sweetness, and figs for a seductive fruitiness.

Recipe:
60ml-2oz BALLANTINE’S SCOTCH WHISKY
30ml-1oz LEMON JUICE
22.5ml-3/4oz HIBISCUS SYRUP
1 FIG
1 EGG WHITE or AQUAFABA
1 mist MARASCHINO

You don’t need to muddle ripe figs. A large ice cube and hard shaking will do it effortlessly.

Quarter the fig and shake all ingredients with a large ice cube. Fine strain back into shaker and dry shake. Fine strain into chilled Nick and Nora glass. Mist with maraschino.
