Apatros Review Ep-0115: A.I. Rising [2018]

AR-0115: At the moment the only film I have in my vast collection that comes from my ancestral homeland of Serbia [I spent a large chunk of my early childhood in Yugoslavia from 1988 to the end of 1991], this particular flick is what you would get if the Soviets had done their own version of "Ex Machina", but with softcore erotic elements thrown in there...

In the distant future, a socialist organisation sends a hardcore Space Bolshevik to a colony in Alpha Centauri to spread Juche [the nasty form of communism that North Korea... Excuse me, the "DPRK", runs on] over there. To keep his eyes on the mission, he is given a female sex android with the ability to do whatever he wants. Eventually human nature and the Bolshevik's unstable mental state undoes his mission...

I've never been a fan of these types of films [socialist sci-fi is what I'm talking about here] and this one is a card-carrying example of this, although this one goes a step further and has a Serbian-American hardcore porno actress play the fembot.

Bad stuff, to be sure. And another reminder why socialist sci-fi sucks the biggest Goanna eggs you can find...
