The presidents of the United States, Joe Biden, and of China, Xi Jinping, arrived in Lima, Peru for what may be their last face-to-face meeting, on the sidelines of an Asia-Pacific summit marked by uncertainties about global trade.
Biden and Xi met on Saturday at the close of the annual meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum, framed in nervousness over an escalation in the trade war between the two superpowers under the new era of Donald Trump.

In all this, Donald Trump confirmed the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services of the United States.
Trump said that Kennedy will work to protect Americans from harmful chemicals and pharmaceuticals and will restore transparency in the public health sector.
The former president also expressed that "for too long, Americans have been crushed by the food industrial complex and pharmaceutical companies that have participated in deception, disinformation and misinformation when it comes to public health."

A special committee of the United Nations announced that the methods of war used in Gaza have the characteristics of a genocide, while Human Rights Watch said that the repeated evacuation orders in the strip constitute a war crime of forced transfer and ethnic cleansing in parts of the Palestinian territory.

The United States criticized the committee's conclusion.
It indicates in a report that in February of this year, Israeli forces used more than 25 thousand tons of explosives throughout the strip, the equivalent of two nuclear bombs, which seems to allude to the impact of the bomb dropped by the United States on Hiroshima during World War II.
