"Áo chàm " is one of the traditional costumes of many ethnic minorities in the northern mountains of Vietnam. The name "armor" comes from the cypress tree - a tree used to color fabric. Since ancient times, ethnic minorities have worn closed shirts in most daily activities, as an indispensable part of life.
Even without complicated motifs or elaborate patterns, "Áo chàm" still exudes a rustic, simple yet attractive beauty, clearly demonstrating the typical culture of ethnic minorities.
