20241113 223451 Tux Roaming into New Frontier

Every night that we go out, Tux gets more and more adventuresome. This makes me extremely nervous given that he's both untethered and would be difficult to keep up with given the abundance of darkness and that he can squirt through fences that I can't nearly as easily navigate.

But we're at the point where he DEMANDS that we go out every night. Starting around 8pm he starts meowing at the door wanting to go out, but it's way too early as there's too much activity still around at that time to spook him. In the interim, it's hard to ignore him for these 1-2 hours because of all of the meows coming out of his face. But he has to be ignored, otherwise he'll learn that he'll get what he wants if I appease him in any way. I may have to break out the earplugs. Squirting the water bottle at him from across the room works only for a few minutes, then he's at it again...

If he'd be willing to get into the harness, I'd consider taking him out in lesser ideal hours, but he's not having it.
