President Xi noted that he is visiting Peru for the third time, and since the moment of landing in this beautiful country, the Peruvian people’s friendship toward the Chinese people has been palpable and heartwarming.

China and Peru are both ancient civilizations. The rich cultural heritages give us wisdom and an open mind, so that we are able to see clearly the flow of history and follow the trend of our times, and stay committed to mutual equality, respect and trust and mutual learning, setting a strong example of solidarity and cooperation between countries of different sizes, systems and cultures.

Over the past 53 years of diplomatic ties, China and Peru have conducted cooperation that brought tangible benefits to the two peoples. The two sides should learn from past successes and upgrade China-Peru, China-Latin America cooperation to deliver more for the peoples.
