Last Armageddon (PCE - 1990) playthrough, part 13/38 - Basque Tree, Spaceship

I think this is the only instance of not keeping gameplay footage, as the boss in the skull gate killed Andro-Sphinx in the battle almost immediately after starting to play. Since it was almost immediately after starting, I didn't want to waste time by showing a reset. That's why I knew to start having her defend in the battle shown. Dragonewt and Andro-Sphinx reach their first evolution. Golem attempts to pull the Azoth Sword from the Basque Tree, but fails (this party cannot pull the sword from the tree, and it will be revealed why much later on). We visit the final three slates and then enter the Spaceship, which is a bit too tough for this party to easily survive in. But that doesn't stop me from trying. In order to survive the Spaceship, I grind for about 5 and a half minutes (42:35 - 48:10). While doing so, Golem joins the rest of the party, evolving his first time. Trying again in the Spaceship, Minotaur becomes the first to evolve a 2nd time.

Translations are machine translations (turn on captions for translations). I used the Bing and Google translators as well as https://nihongodera.com/tools/kana-converter for word by word translations. I also used http://www.moemoe.gr.jp/~yourtoy/last/index.html It has most, or possibly all, of the text (all in Japanese) from the PC88 version. I'd say at least 90% of the two versions' event scripts are identical -- I did not compare the text on the slates.

Last Armageddon was originally released on Japanese PCs in 1988, being ported to PC Engine in 1990 on CD. It was also ported to Famicom a couple months later. It never got a release outside of Japan.

Played on a PC Engine Duo-R using composite out, running it through a RetroTINK 5X-Pro to an Elgato HD60 X capture card. Recorded in OBS Studio.
