The UFO Incident in Arequipa, Peru: The Incredible Story of Commander Oscar Santa Maria - Fidae

The case was disclosed by The History Channel and studied by the CIA. The FAP officer fired 64 shots at the craft, without damaging its metal structure. The object's speed was unreachable.

Pilot Oscar Santa Maria Huertas fired 64 shots at an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO), but it did not explode. It was the morning of April 11, 1980 at the La Joya base in Arequipa, when the Peruvian Air Force (FAP) officer faced for the first time a craft that was not made by man.

Santa Maria Huertas received orders to destroy a strange balloon that apparently spied on the military barracks from the air. He then attacked the object with completely destructive bursts of shells, and although he hit the target directly, the unknown craft ascended unharmed at high speeds through the sky.

IMPOSSIBLE MANEUVERS

"The object was moving away quickly and rising at the same time. Then, it stopped abruptly and I had to turn to avoid hitting it," he declared to The History Channel.

According to aviation experts, consulted by the television network, "no known aircraft is capable of advancing at supersonic speeds from a standstill," that is, it is impossible for any of the aerial vehicles known today to ascend from zero to 160 thousand kilometers per hour, as this UFO did, after remaining suspended in the air for various times.

If these mechanisms of sudden parking in the air are effective, according to the explanations of the specialists, the so-called G force (an intuitive measure of acceleration) would cause the death of the pilot.

According to the testimony, the unknown craft "broke" the FAP officer's maneuvers about three times, carrying out flight instructions "worthy of a fighter pilot," until after 20 minutes of pursuit, the Sukhoi 22, which Santa María was piloting, surpassed its capabilities.

This type of aircraft can only reach a height of 18,300 meters, but the Peruvian pilot reached 19,000 meters while trying to reach the unidentified object. However, the Sukhoi 22 lost power and forced Santa María Huertas to return to its base.

REACTION IN THE US

The History Channel report also shows a document from the United States Ministry of Defense, titled "UFO sighted in Peru," which records the extraterrestrial encounter that Santa María had, as well as its failed attempt to destroy the craft. What is remarkable is that this information was immediately disseminated to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the State Department and the National Security Agency.

"WITHOUT WINDOWS"

Ship. Santa Maria described the UFO as follows: "It had a kind of blued dome with a wide metal base that made everything shine." "It had no wings, windows, antennas, it was a very smooth surface above and below."

Case. Although the United States stopped investigating UFOs with the closure of the "Blue Book" project in 1970, the Santa Maria case was disclosed to the Secretary of State, the CIA and the Chiefs of Staff.

"It did not appear on the radar"

The military personnel who were at the military base on the day of the unusual sighting attest to the facts. For them, it was not only astonishing to see the spherical craft being pursued by the Sukhoi 22, but also to realize that the FAP radar was not capable of registering the object.

Despite the investigations, it has not yet been possible to determine what that indestructible craft was in the face of FAP weapons. Therefore, this is one of the most concrete versions at a national level that confirms the existence of UFOs.
