My guess is that he acknowledges the theory this is a DS head fake or double-triple fake then denies it either to suggest it's true, or to say it isn't simple disinfo but a sort of a "double fake." Also, you can see them sortof laughing about it, and they spend 5 minutes of an hour long episode with Iran Assassin in the title, on Iran assassin. So whatever the angle is, and whatever they say directly here, I think they're implying it's nothing.
