Europe's first operational Hyperloop test facility has marked a significant advancement in sustainable transportation. A team of researchers from EPFL, HEIG-VD, and Swisspod Technologies successfully completed an 11.8 km (7.3-mile) test, simulating a full-scale Hyperloop journey of 88 miles (141.6 km) with calculated speeds reaching 488.2 km/h (303.4 mph).
This low-pressure test, conducted on EPFL's circular Hyperloop track, sets a new record and underscores the feasibility of Hyperloop technology for high-speed, eco-friendly travel.
Operating in a 50-millibar environment, the team performed 82 tests, reaching scaled speeds of up to 40.7 km/h (25.3 mph), showcasing the potential for future intracontinental transportation.#fyp#future
