The Navel and the miracle child. (Introduction).

The navel is the place of life, birth, and generation.

In the East, the navel marks the location of the Dan Tien energy centre. It is the place where the immortal fetus is conceived. The immortal fetus is the energetic rebirth of our nervous system. In Vedic tradition, the navel is said to hold the Nabhi marma energy point. The Nabhi is a central hub that acts like a vortex drawing in the universal energy - the Shakti or Prana.

In the West, the miracle child is a common thread woven through our traditions and legends. Christ, Horus, Buddha, King Arthur and many more are all born in mysterious and magical circumstances. Viewed through a physiological and energetic lens, the miraculous births of these eminent figures may symbolise the awakening of the human nervous system to its full potential.

The combination of these two ancient concepts - the deep energetic teachings of the East and the allegorical teachings of the West - may help the sensitive and curious individual reach a balanced and beneficial understanding of what our wise and subtle ancestors were trying to point to in our shared mythologies, legends, and folklore.
