Gino Recchia NBC26 Storm Shield Weather Forecast
A frontal boundary is slowly moving its way into Northern Illinois, but because of its stalling-like movement, the risk of showers and some thunderstorms will persist over parts of the area over the next 24 hours. Tonight, if there is a lingering shower or T'storm, it should push south of the area. The humidity will be dropping as well with high pressure drawing in dry air from Canada. Overnight lower are going to be in the upper 50s and lower 60s. There will be another weak low pressure passing Tuesday giving us the chance of a few scattered showers or an isolated T'storm. It will not be as heavy as the last round. It'll also be cooler and more comfortable with highs in the lower to mid-70s, though cooler along Lake Michigan because of north and northeast winds at 5 to 10 mph.
