Azerbaijan's President Defends Oil and Gas as a 'Gift from God' at COP29 Climate Summit

Speaking at the UN's COP29 climate summit in Azerbaijan, the country's president unapologetically referred to oil and gas as a "gift of God".

"Countries should not be blamed for having them, and should not be blamed for bringing these resources to the market, because the market needs them. The people need them."
