INNOVATIVE WAVE ENERGY CONVERTER

It's an entirely new and innovative wave energy converter. It is a kind of point absorber. but unlike others, it is installed under the sea water surface. so it is called a submerged point absorber (SPA) and due to similar manner of oscillating water column (OWC). Therefore, it was named as SPA-OWC.

A first test shows 1/30 scaled model test of SPA-OWC without turbine.

Second one shows 1/10 scaled model test with the turbine.

It looks working very well! Actually, only wells turbine without electric generator could be rotating pretty good.

But unfortunately, it was not rotating with electric generator on the wells turbine.
