7. 20th Century British and Irish Poetry

Survey of my favourite (sometimes under-appreciated) poets from the last century. Readings from Francis Thompson, Robert Graves, Dylan Thomas, George Barker, Sidney Keyes, David Gascoyne, Seamus Heaney and Kathleen Raine.

This is as much as I could pack into a video of this size... obviously the only Irish poet here is Seamus Heaney, so I will hopefully remedy this with something more focussed on the Irish poets in good time. Yeats is only omitted because - for the sake of categorisation - I've deemed him a 19th Century poet... and I'm such a fan that only a series of talks could do him justice, in my eyes (in fact many of the poets here you could deem as in the line of Yeats's influence).

Other possibly curious omissions would be; the poetry of D.H Lawrence, Mina Loy, Elizabeth Smart and David Jones (because these will have much more extended air-time in future talks), Basil Bunting and Barry McSweeney (because I don't have much to say about them at present).
