About our Guest:
Edward Hightower is the managing director at Motoring Ventures LLC, an investment, growth, strategy, and operations consulting firm focused on driving value + impact in automotive and manufacturing businesses around the world. He has extensive operating experience throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa. He previously led GM's $15 billion Global Crossovers business as the executive chief engineer and vehicle line executive and served in leadership roles at Ford and BMW. He also worked as a hands-on management consultant at AlixPartners, LLP. He is the author of the book "Motoring Africa: Sustainable Automotive Industrialization (published in 2018).” Hightower serves on the boards of directors of Tempel Steel – a global manufacturer of precision components for electric motors; and HEVO Power – a designer, developer, and manufacturer of wireless charging systems for electric vehicles. He is also an advisor to the board, CEO, and leadership of Kiira Motors – a manufacturer of electric city busses, based in Uganda, East Africa.
