“As part of our ongoing commitment to maternal and infant health, Children Not Numbers (CNN) has continued to make strides with our Maternity Project in Gaza. To date, CNN has allocated over £2,000 each month specifically for maternity support medications and essential supplements.

These funds have enabled us to equip both clinics with a supply of crucial medications, including folic acid, iron, and vitamin D, as well as treatments for infections and pain management—each of which plays an essential role in safeguarding the health of mothers and their unborn children.

For instance, each clinic currently holds supplies such as 1,000 tablets of folic acid, 2,400 iron tablets, 1,500 vitamin D tablets, along with antibiotics like amoxicillin and cefuroxime, pain relievers, and antifungal treatments. In total, these supplies are doubled to meet the needs of both locations, ensuring a consistent standard of care.

Our goal within the Maternity Project is not just to address immediate medical needs but to offer holistic, compassionate care. By providing essential prenatal supplements, infection management, and postpartum support, we aim to enhance maternal health outcomes in this vulnerable region. However, challenges remain, particularly in securing and maintaining consistent access to necessary supplies. Each contribution and effort from CNN’s supporters and partners is invaluable, helping us continue to serve the mothers and infants in Gaza who rely on us.”
