Gold

As you all know I love a good story, and we have the BBC Friday Night Film Collection to thank for this song. So emotionally moved by the story of this film, I stored it in the "ooh that would make a good song collection", and when the opportunity came along (i.e. the perfect piece of music) I would set it free.
Now you you the story of how Peter and I came together, so here's a little background information about the first release "Gold" . Both the video and the album releases on Friday 8th November 2024
Gold is based on the movie about Maria Altman, an octogenarian Jewish refugee, as she takes on the Austrian government to recover artwork she believes rightfully belongs to her family.

The song itself tries to encapsulate the whole story. Keep an ear open for former H A L O drummer, Matt Frost in the background, and of course the magic fingers of Mr. Toussaint.
