Veteran's Day Tribute to the Animals Which Help Us Smile

Today is Veteran's Day, and on this Eleventh Day, of this Eleventh Month as we approach the Eleventh Hour and Eleventh minute; take a moment to reflect upon your service time; what has been lost and gained.
If you aren't active or reserve military nor a veteran, you most likely know one who is a one of those. Ask questions, if they're open to conversation, what prompted one to enlist.
The answers you receive may vary from being drafted to being a family tradition, needing a place in society, seeking training, worldly experience and many more. None of these examples, nor those motivators left out are a denigration.

In Basic Military Training, our sergeant said to all of us:

If your reason for being in my [military] isn't to protect and defend [your country], you're in it for the wrong reason.
