This is the full video from a series of shorts that captures our ride across the Somme battlefield, visiting many of the cemeteries and monuments to the fallen . Including, Thiepval, Vimy Ridge, Sunken Lane, Lochnagar Crater, and the Devonshire cemetery.

We used Irish Ferries to cross from Dover to Calais in late September. It's our first international ride out since Covid and so this heaped special meaning to the trip. Riding my BMW R1200 GSA Rallye and My uncle riding his Suzuki DR 1050 V-Strom.

We got to remember that being able to experience riding motorcycles across the continent was a hard won opportunity. We should never forget that, and we should immortalise these heroes by taking advantage, every day, of the freedoms they bought for us.
