flintstones on the earth shape..

many shows, Bonanza, and others, especially in the earlier part of the last century mostly believed in the flat earth, it was still taught in schools, they did teach both theories, because they are theories, neither being scientific law.. proven beyond a shadow of a doubt... then in the 50s they pushed the globe as fact and never taught again the flat earth theory.. why?? to hid the truth??
