Dragon Quest 4: Chapters of the Chosen ep 13 Confronting Balzack, Evolved Marquis, Oojam's Sacrifice

Back from the dead we head into the Mamon mines again with a little more caution. Despite the poison gas and the monsters, these people continue to mine deeper. We find some wet gunpowder down at the bottom of the mine. Explosives in hand, we head back to the Palais de Leon to plant it outside the chancellors room. We follow his panicked flight to a secret room where we find at long last, Balzack the murderer. With the Sphere of Silence preventing his powerful magic we are able to beat him into submission. But, rather than answer for his crimes he calls out to the true Marquis de Leon. The once king of this land has used the secret of evolution to transform into a truly horrifying monstrosity. His strength is enormous and he makes short work of us. Waking up in the dungeon we find a man saying he is actually king and the monster sitting on the throne was a plant. He tells us how to escape and we decide to flee to another land. We will need to follow the prophecy and seek the legendary hero. Spotted on our breakout, Oojam stays behind to fight off the guards while we flee. His heroic sacrifice allows our escape, but costs his life. Shattered and hunted, we board a ship for Endor and abandon our revenge.
