A warm front was responsible for the showers and thunderstorms observed in Northeast Wisconsin this morning and afternoon. The precipitation was much needed and welcomed across the area as we have not experienced much rainfall since the middle of May. A matter of fact, the rainfall today broke the old record in Green Bay for todays date. The new record of 1.10" broke the old record of 1.09" back over 100 years ago in 1906.
