Kari Lake Fights Back: New Ballot Discrepancies in Arizona's Senate Race

In a situation reminiscent of the 2022 Arizona election, officials are once again adjusting ballot totals without providing explanations.

Back in 2022, despite Republicans fielding some of their strongest candidates, Democrats won statewide races. Kari Lake, a standout Republican candidate who gained national attention for her polished campaign, faced issues on Election Day when Maricopa County officials sent precincts incorrect paper sizes, halting voting across metro Phoenix, especially in Republican strongholds. On that day, Democrats secured over 50% of votes, despite only a 17% turnout. Additionally, 25,000 unexplained ballots were later added to Maricopa County’s count, a discrepancy that was never fully investigated. In response, Kari Lake filed a lawsuit contesting the results of the 2022 gubernatorial race.

This 2022 scenario resembled issues observed in the 2020 election, where investigators noted that many ballots lacked proper chain-of-custody documentation. Lake’s lawsuit mentions the 25,000 additional ballots added in Maricopa County after Election Day, which could explain why Democrats won over half the Election Day votes despite lower turnout rates.

Now, new concerns arise with the current election, as Arizona officials adjust ballot totals in an undecided U.S. Senate race. President Trump previously won the state by a significant margin over Kamala Harris, yet officials suggest that a majority of Arizona voters now support Democratic candidate Ruben Gallego.

The Kari Lake campaign issued a letter to Pima County officials after they increased their uncounted ballot totals by 14,666 between the reports posted at 1:23 p.m. MST and 3:23 p.m. MST on November 8. Yuma County has also seen discrepancies, with its outstanding ballot count nearly doubling overnight from November 7 to November 8.

Political commentator Liz Harrington pointed out these increases, questioning how Yuma County’s remaining votes could jump from 9,861 to 18,011. She suggested that such changes seem to benefit Democratic candidates disproportionately.

Retired Colonel John Mills has called for Trump to prioritize an “Operation Truth” initiative, proposing a thorough investigation in Arizona to audit all ballots and hold officials accountable for any discrepancies.

Critics argue it’s time the FBI serves the American people impartially, ensuring election integrity for all citizens.
