An early touchdown was all DePauw University needed to claim victory in the school's annual football rivalry game with Wabash College. A 15 yard scoring pass from DePauw's Dick Wheat to Joe Royse in the first eight minutes of the contest and the extra point that followed were the only scores registered all day, as the men from Greencastle celebrated a 7-0 triumph.

The game was played at Washington Park in downtown Indianapolis. As the outcome suggests, DePauw's defense turned in a stellar performance. The unit stopped a Wabash drive at the one yard line.
