Thoughts on Communism, Liberalism, and Blank-Slate Traditionalism | An Essentialist Critique

In this stream of meandering thoughts, I delve into an Evolian critique of both communism and contemporary conservatism, exploring why I reject ideologies rooted in the notion of a "blank slate" era. As an essentialist, I assert that each individual has an intrinsic, unchangeable essence - a reality overlooked by modern frameworks from Marxism to liberal conservatism and, ultimately, mercantile, right-wing populism. These ideologies reduce man's value to external conditions and productivity, advocating a flexible identity that, in my view, obscures one’s true self. I examine the widespread influence of the metaphysical redundancy inherent to the concept of the "tabula rasa" mindset in our post-Christian, materialistic society, in which personal identity and spirituality have been commodified into a perpetual state of becoming something other than what one fundamentally is.
