Plant of the Week - Gloom Vine - was offered between November 9, 2024 through November 16, 2024.

Gloom Vine is a member of the Conceal-Mint family.
Gloom Vine costs 125 Sun. (-25 Sun on levels 3, 7 and 10.)
Gloom Vine powers any Shadow plant enveloped within.
Gloom Vine fires in eight (8) directions dealing 45 damage. (+10 damage on levels 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10.)

Commentary:
Sometimes plants do exactly what they are supposed to do.
Sometimes plants look horrible but when you see them in action, you are pleasantly surprised.
Sometimes plants look good but when you see them in action, you are disappointed. Gloom Vine fits this category.

Bottom Line:
The Shadow plants have a way to get powered should Moonflower not be available. Being a vine should make things interesting.

But all of this is on paper. What Shadow plant is so good that you would play it when Moonflower is not available? We haven't been able to find one.

Sure Gloom Vine is good against thrown Imps. But if thrown imps are a serious problem, why not use Pumpkins - which are cheaper and much more durable - and let your normal offensive plants dispatch the Imps?

Perks = Poison Zombies / SHIELDS / Boss Buster
