Introduced in 1955 this scintillation instrument could be equipped with an external meter for mounting on a dashboard of a car or plane. It could also be used with an external probe and a recorder. A "deep hole" probe with 50' cable could also be used. It used two 67.5 volt, two 22.5 volt and three 1.5 volt batteries. Now using converters for the obsolete batteries. I don't know what the original price was but I'm sure it was very expensive for such a versatile unit. Mt. Sopris Instruments is still in business today.
