- In modern Western psychiatry, bipolar disorder is labeled as a “distinct period of abnormally and persistently elevated, expansive, or irritable mood” for at least a week

- Bipolar disorder, from an energetic perspective, is when the brain becomes overwhelmed with suppressed and repressed emotions and thoughts.

- This leads to a sequence of sporadic and scattered brain wave fluctuations, which manifest on the physical plane as manic symptoms, often followed by a depressive crash when the energy has dissipated.

- It is often precipitated or preceded by a highly charged emotional experience or event, which triggers a cascade of energetic fluctuations leading to the classic symptoms.

- And so the key during a manic episode is help move the energy from the overactive brain into the feet, and help the person ground.

- There are also daily lifestyle practices that can help stabilize and center the energy of those who may have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
