As an American we need as much education about the Middle East outside of the Israeli narratives. Until I saw the documentary Tantura, I had never heard of the Nakba. The US has only had Holocaust indoctrination films. My father was in North Africa during World War II before going into Sicily. He never spoke negatively about the indigenous people in North Africa. He respected them as fighters who would practice night raids against the Nazis. I Appreciate hearing these programs in order to understand a perspective outside of the Israeli hate narratives.
