Let's preserve some apples!
First up, dried apples.
Next; some apple sauce
End with some apple butter

Dried apples:
150 for 12 hours max (just watch them and adjust time as needed)

Apple Sauce: cook apples until soft, run them through a food mill of some kind, sweeten to liking, and either can or freeze (if you can, use a pressure canner and follow directions in the book.)

Apple Butter; take a gallon of unsweetened applesauce and add
7 cups brown sugar
1 cup vinegar
2 TBSP of cinnamon
Cook on 350 for 3 hours
Can or jar when done

Now we can enjoy apples for the winter in several different ways
