The DNR is reminding everyone about the five-day quiet period. Firearm deer
season begins November 15, which means the state's quiet period starts Sunday. During these five days, unless hunting for small game, waterfowl or fur
harvesting, it is unlawful to transport or possess a rifle or shotgun with buckshot, slug load, ball load or cut shell in an area frequented by deer. For more information visit Michigan.gov/DNR. For Michigan News Source I’m David Barr.
