Donald Trump declares victory in 2024 US presidential election

Donald Trump has declared victory in the US presidential election, taking to the stage in Florida to address the nation.

The Republican has won the key swing states of North Carolina, Georgia and Pennsylvania, and appears on course to sweep Wisconsin and Michigan in a landslide.

The 78-year-old is also on course to win the popular vote.

Ms Harris’ results night party at her alma mater in Washington, DC ended early when her team confirmed she would not address the nation tonight.
