We continue our journey through the cinematic adaptations of Bram Stoker's gothic horror novel, Dracula. Here we are at the 1992 film Bram Stoker's Dracula directed by Francis Ford Coppola! Coppola brought us such films as Apocolypse Now and The Godfather! Sporting an all-star cast! Fresh off of The Silence of the Lambs, Anthony Hopkins is Professor Abraham Van Helsing! Winona Ryder of Beetlejuice and Heathers is Mina Murry! The future John Wick, who by his admission was working too hard and should have taken a break after such films as Point Break and Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, is Jonathon Harker! Before he was in Saw and after starring in The Princess Bride, Cary Elwes is Lord Arthur Holmwood! This is also the only one to get all the Vampire hunters on screen with all the correct names! The Rocketeer himself, Billy Campbell, brings Quincy Morris to life! Tom Waits is Renfield! Richard Grant is Dr. Jack Seward! Gary Oldman is Count Dracula! Is this truly the definitive screen version of Stoker's novel? The screenwriter James V. Hart thinks so! This is a very lavish, gorgeous version. The score is haunting. This one also ties Stoker's novel to Vlad the Impaler. Also, there is a silly reincarnated love bit. Does that drag this one down or improve on Stoker's already creepy gothic vampire novel? You won't find Christopher Lee, or Bela Lugosi here, but you can feel those two giants' influence. Join us as we try to figure out how close or not close to the novel this one is...Bram Stoker's Dracula!

Plot: The centuries old vampire Count Dracula comes to England to seduce his barrister Jonathan Harker's fiancée Mina Murray and inflict havoc in the foreign land.
