#6 The Fruit Reveals the Root

#6 in the Book of Romans Series

Romans 11:11-21
Lump [firstfruits] offered to God is holy, so the whole harvest is holy. The root is holy, so the branches are holy. The root is the promise offered to Abraham by God so that the whole earth would be blessed. The promise is Jesus— the plan of salvation/redemption where the sacrifice of Jesus pays the penalty of the sins of the world and those that are of faith are the children of Abraham, and those that are of faith become the branches that are connected to the vine, which is Jesus. And those that are connected to the vine that is Jesus are partakers of a new nature. The nature of the tree that is new that they are now partakers of is Jesus. Jesus is not of this fallen world. He comes from the Father. He is holy. He is the holy lump (He is the firstfruits). He is the holy root for He is the one planted into the ground and died. He is the vine and we are the branches. The branches that are connected to Him bear His fruit.
