Indiana taking steps to lower maternal mortality rate

Indiana is now making efforts to curb its extraordinarily high maternal mortality rate. The maternal mortality rate in Indiana is 41.4 – twice the national average – when it comes to mothers dying during or shortly after the birth of their child.
