Laurence ("Laura") Haïm, born November 14, 1966 in Paris, is a French-American journalist and politician.

A former correspondent for the Canal+ group and the CAPA agency in Washington from 1992 to 2017, then at I-Télé, she is one of the few French journalists accredited to hold press conferences with Agence France-Presse correspondents at the White House and the Pentagon. She is also the only French journalist to have secured an exclusive interview with US President Barack Obama.

In January 2017, she joined Emmanuel Macron, a presidential candidate and then elected President of the Republic, as a spokesperson. On July 12, 2017, she left her position at La République en marche.
In July 2017, Le Canard enchaîné claimed that she had asked Emmanuel Macron for a post as ambassador for services rendered and that he had brusquely rejected her request. Laurence Haïm denies this claim, declaring on her Twitter account: "I never wanted to be an ambassador. Except news". In an interview with Télé-Loisirs, she said she was "very surprised" by the article in Le Canard, but qualified her words and admitted that "several possibilities" of positions with the Head of State's team had been considered.

Return to professional life outside politics
In the fall of 2017, she was a fellow-in-residence at the Institute of Politics at the University of Chicago under the direction of David Axelrod, a former adviser to Barack Obama.

In September 2019, deceived by a fake video, she announced the death of American actor and director Clint Eastwood on her Twitter account. She later apologized for her mistake. Since September 2020, Laurence Haïm has been a consultant for the LCI channel of the TF1 group and is mobilized to follow the 2020 American presidential election.
In July 2023, she announced on her Twitter account that she would no longer be seen on LCI.

Note
She is in the United States, she uses the name "Laura" instead of Laurence to avoid gender confusion, as Laurence is a male given name on the other side of the Atlantic.
