HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 19:27-38
Gen 19:27-29 While the most terrible scenes took place in the plain, Abraham was at rest. The fact that he was at rest dis not mean that he was not moved by what was happening below him. He prayed too intensively for that. And this prayer was not in vain. He went to the place where he stood before the LORD and placed himself there on his guard post (Hab_2:1 ). When we have prayed, we should look forward to the result. We should address our prayer, like a letter, and then expect an answer (Psa_5:3 ). Here we read that Lot owed it to the prayer of his uncle Abraham that he did not perish in judgment. Lot will not have known this. He will come to know when his life will be revealed before the judgment seat of Christ.

Gen 19:30-36 In this pitiful sequel to the story of the destruction of Sodom, we see two women compelled to preserve their family line. They were driven not by lust but by desperation—they feared they would never marry. Lot's tendency to compromise and refusal to act reached its peak. He should have found right partners for his daughters long before this; Abraham's family wasn't far away. Now the two daughters stooped to incest, showing their acceptance of the morals of Sodom. We are most likely to sin when we are desperate for what we feel we must have.

Gen 19:37-38 Why doesn't the Bible openly condemn these sisters for what they did? In many cases, the Bible does not judge people for their actions. It simply reports the events. Notice the consequence of their action—Moab and Ammon became enemies of Israel—this was God's way of judging their sin.

Personal Supplication
Father, help me to never show desperation for what I need at all cost, but rather to trust Your will for my life to the end in Jesus' name. Is 26:3-4
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on thee: Because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: For in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
