Brent whom caught this beautiful footage, recently visited Grand Cayman Island in the Caribbean. Rum Point, the subject beach in this video is on Grand Cayman Island which is one of three small islands in the Caribbean. These islands are part of the British West Indies. Grand Cayman Island is approximately 22 miles (35 km) long with its widest point being 8 miles (13 km) wide. The elevation ranges from sea level at the beaches to 60 feet (18 m) above sea level on the North Side. Rum Point gave Brent the perfect setting to catch an amazing sunset along with some gorgeous cloud formations. While relaxing on the beach taking in the sunset, Brent decided to set up his iPhone on time-lapse mode and see what it all looked liked in fast mode afterwards. At the very tip of this island paradise is also a precious spot called Starfish Point. The very shallow waters here make for a popular gathering place for pillow cushion sea stars. These plump starfish look like stuffed animals, though they are very much alive and grazing along the seafloor. Bring your snorkel gear to find the starfish on the bottom when you visit, you can even touch them, but resist the urge to lift them out of the water. They are living marine creatures who need to be in the water to survive, and bringing them into the air can cause stress or damage to the animals if they’re kept out long enough. Within the gorgeous shallow waters of Rum Point, snorkelling is also amazing as many southern stingrays, boxfish as well as other tropical fish can be seen at a very close proximity which is amazing. Do not fear these amazing animals, they are curious and love to interact with you. Once Brent was finished enjoying the gorgeous sunset and activities around the beach, he played back his recording and found it so amazing that he wanted to share it. Enjoy what he did, it was an incredible evening.
