Hey kids! Welcome back to Catholic Reboot. Today we’re going to learn more about angels. As I said in my first episode Angels are like God’s special helpers? They have some pretty awesome jobs that help us and show how much God loves us. Let’s break down what these amazing angels do and how they help us!

Angels Are Messengers
Angels love to deliver God’s messages! In fact, the word “angel” actually means “messenger.” Imagine if you got a super important letter angels are the ones who bring messages like that from God!
Let’s look at some times angels delivered messages:
To Mary: An angel named Gabriel told Mary she was going to have a very special baby, Jesus!
To Joseph: Another angel told Joseph in a dream to take care of Mary and Baby Jesus.
To the Shepherds: On the night Jesus was born, angels appeared to shepherds, singing and telling them about the newborn Savior.
Angels bring messages that come straight from God, so they don’t change anything or mess it up. They say exactly what God wants them to say!

Angels Protect Us
Did you know each of us has our very own angel? Yep! They’re called Guardian Angels, and they’re like invisible superheroes, protecting us from danger and helping us to make good choices. Here’s what they do:

Protect Our Souls: Guardian Angels help us avoid bad choices and steer us toward good ones.
Inspire Us: They can help us think holy thoughts and encourage us to pray.
Keep Us Safe: They even help keep us safe from harm! Sometimes, they can guide us away from accidents or help us stay out of trouble.
Psalm 91 in the Bible says that God sends His angels to guard us. That’s pretty cool, right? We can always talk to our Guardian Angels, especially with the “Angel of God” prayer: “Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here…”

Angels Worship God
The most important thing angels do is worship God. They never stop praising Him in heaven. It’s like they’re at a never-ending heavenly Mass, singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy!” They remind us of how amazing God is and how we can worship Him too.

In the Bible, we see this a couple of times:

In Isaiah’s Vision: The prophet Isaiah saw angels called Seraphim who were singing, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts!”
In Revelation: St. John had a vision of angels praising Jesus, the Lamb of God, and singing that He deserves all honor and glory.
When we go to Mass, we get to join with the angels in praising God. Isn’t that amazing? We’re not just in church with our friends and family; we’re worshipping with angels too!

What We Can Learn from Angels
Angels give us some great ideas for how we can live our lives:

Be Messengers: Just like angels, we can share God’s love and truth with our family and friends.
Be Protectors: We can help others by being kind and watching out for them. If a friend is tempted to do something wrong, we can help them make a better choice.
Be Worshippers: At Mass, we can focus on praying with all our heart, just like the angels in heaven.
Angels remind us that God is with us, protecting us and guiding us every day. So, next time you feel alone or scared, remember you have a Guardian Angel who’s got your back. And every time you’re at Mass, remember the angels are there too, worshipping God with you.

Let's keep the angels close to our hearts and try to live like them—sharing God’s message, helping others, and always praising Him! So I will see you in the next episode and heres looking at you kids!
